Next Police Academy Fitness Training Classes start January 7th
The purpose of this training course is to teach and prepare the police applicant to take the O.P.O.T.C.- mandated physical fitness test.
This test is based on the Cooper Standards, which requires a passing score in sit-ups, pushups, and a 1.5 mile run (based upon one’s age and gender). The Police Cadet must pass this test in order to graduate from any Ohio Police Academy and be certified as a Law Enforcement Officer.
Your trainers will include: O.P.O.T.C.-certified instructors in Physical Conditioning and Subject Control; CrossFit-certified instructors; a RN specializing in cardiac care; and current martial arts instructors/practitioners. Classes are intense, and will involve functional strength training, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning training, and bodyweight exercise training. Each student will be taught the proper technique of all exercises, and training will be focused on specifically improving all three O.P.O.T.C. standards.
Classes will be limited to 10, and will be approximately one hour in duration. Classes will begin Monday January 7, 2008, and will be held Monday evenings, Wednesday evenings, and Saturday mornings. The eight week course costs $299.00.
If interested, send an e-mail to pjz2329@sbcglobal.net and list your name, contact phone number, and e-mail address and we will reserve a spot for you. Once the class fills, remaining interested parties will be added to a waiting list. Payments must be made at least one week prior to the beginning of the training. We'll be posting payment instructions shortly.
We have received tremendous response to this training course so do not delay in reserving your spot.
